A private tutoring agency website caught my eye today. It appears to be owned by a school teacher or retired tutor or teacher. The owner took me to task for giving advice on how to set up and promote an Internet business. This person gave the url out in a business forum inferring that they knew what they are doing and I didn’t. The website appears to have been online for a few years yet has zero page rank and zero back links. The SEO factors on the site are “Zip”… zero, none!

I did a search of Google for what appears to be their main keyword “private tutoring agency” and didn’t find them in the first 2oo hundred results.

I wonder how long it will take my website to rank for the search term private tutoring agency?

Selling on the Internet, known as Internet Marketing, is the fastest way to a fortune known to modern man. There’s any amount of ways you can present and sell your idea’s on the internet, but the most practical are eBooks and video’s. They are both easily downloaded to the buyer and they cost you virtually nothing to manage after they are written or made.

You will need a roadmap of how to go about it, and that will cost you, and you’ll need to either write or make the product yourself or pay someone to do it for you.

You will then need to either learn to market it or pay someone to help or do that for you… anyone can make a product to sell, but if you can’t get eyeballs on your website, you make no sales. I’ve just bought Jeff Walkers “Product Launch Formula 2.0″ because I’m sick of not getting this job of building a million dollar business online done. The course starts today… wish me luck.

Well, that is the story here with this website. The Google page rank varies between PR 6 and PR7. It gets a few visitors now and then but it does not earn me any money at all. Ok, I might pick up the occassional clickbank check, but that is less than $100 a month.

As you may have guessed if you read my blog now and then, I have lost interest in Internet Marketing. I spend most of my time enjoying life and just “living”.

I was researching a niche 4 years ago to make an Adsense website on (Currency Trading - yes, Forex)

It is a profitable niche to build an Adsense website on, but I got interested in the topic itself, to the point that I started spending money on learning how to trade Forex. Here is me, an Internet Marketer who is just starting to make money, I had just had my 1st $400 month in Adsense revenue, and I decide to learn Forex trading!

Needless to say my IM income started to drop. I spent up to 16 hours a day learning to trade. In a 12 month period I learnt the basics, opened a live account and lost over $8,000 in hard earned.

Over a 4 year period I have won and lost up to 6 figures in live forex trading accounts. Yes, six figure accounts. I have traded live accounts up to well over US$100,000 and then gone and blown it. Trading Forex is the most exciting thing you will ever do outside of getting laid for the first time.

What is an Internet business? I see an Internet business as a way and means of achieving financial freedom. If you can build a website, put some advertising on that site for a sellable product or service, then you have an Internet business.

You may not make any money of course, in which case its not a profitable venture, but nonetheless it is a business. Some simple products to sell can be eBooks, “how to” guides or video’s, software or even hard goods. You could also host other peoples advertising and generate revenue from that.

The most common form of hosted advertising is the “Google Adsense” program.

If you want to sell a product, look for products with high profit margins, high demand and low competition. The simplest way is to sell physical products through drop shipping or digital products like eBooks that you can supply yourself.

You can sell services like hosting, shopping services, help guides and the like, or become an affiliate for other peoples products and sell through your link to their sites and pick up affiliate commissions through that.

Yet another fast talking guru, this time it’s Rich Shefren. I got bombarded by all the usual joint venture affiliate income grabbing whores today. They are all promoting a $2,000 you beaut “make a million dollars just like me” package of regurgitated crap… just like the last package and the one before that, and before that etc, etc…

Take my advice, don’t waste money on it. You are much better off building a website on a topic you are familiar with and passionate about, and turning it into an authority site.
